In the Software Engineer II role, you will be an integral part of the growing Engineering team, responsible for developing the core backend capabilities that will have the largest impact on the experience of Stavvy’s users. You will have the opportunity to work on a product driving change in the mortgage industry by simplifying processes and moving towards paperless transactions. Specifically, this role will be a member of the team responsible for reimagining the current workflows of the Stavvy platform to promote a more cohesive experience. Additionally, the team will be working on a new message-driven service responsible for all internal and external notifications and observability within the Stavvy platform. While this role can be fully remote, the Software Engineer II will be expected to work in the Dallas, TX area and work in Central Time Zone.
What you'll do
- Write production ready code in C#
- Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
- Integrate user-facing elements into applications
- Test and debug programs
- Improve functionality of existing systems
- Assess and prioritize feature requests
- Collaborate with our product, design, and development teams in order to fully create and understand the requirements for what is necessary to be produced
- Fully participate in the agile development process (code reviews, stand-up meetings, etc.)
- Mentor/Collaborate with other engineers on the Stavvy team so that we may all progress further.
Who you are
- Creative, skilled, and self-driven Software Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience
- Experience coding in C# required
- Experience working in the mortgage/fintech space is required
- Experience working with SQL is required
- While this is a fully remote position, candidates must be located in the Dallas, TX area
- Experience with Microsoft Azure preferred
- Exposure to the Agile methodology is a plus
- Capable of writing complex backend code for a publicly accessible web application with aspirations to scale its user base dramatically
- Committed to collaborative problem solving and sophisticated design
- Natural collaborator and problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments
Compensation Education
- The Dallas based range for this full time position is $118,000 - $147,000

- Stavvy is committed to competitive and equitable pay for all Stavviators. The listed pay range for this role is a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. Compensation offered will be determined based on several factors including an individual’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
